法拉第隔离器(FI)是一种不可逆的光学装置,它将一束方向的线偏振光透过并偏转回光。它通常由法拉第旋转器和两个偏振器组成。法拉第旋转器由置于永磁体系(Nd-Fe-B)中的磁光活性材料制成。
有两种类型的磁光活性材料可供选择:铽掺杂玻璃,铽镓石榴石(TGG)晶体。
隔离器通过将反射和背散射光衰减几个数量级(10 ^ 4到10
^ 6)来保护激光源。当某些设备对光学反馈有极高的敏感度时,也会使用它,这会导致强度不稳定,频率拉动和其他不良影响。
法拉第隔离器在CPA(啁啾脉冲放大)激光器布局中也是不可缺少的,其中种子振荡器及其泵源可能偶尔被后向反射而容易受到损坏。

-TFP:

-HT:
一些隔离器模型可能被升级为具有高达92%的透射率,其中一个格兰棱镜偏振器用于洛匈棱镜,然而,这也使得被拒射束的角度更接近主光束路径。
